Dead Men Racing. www.deadmen.co.uk
Check out out the website. Although it looks CS dominated, it's not. The ethos is the same though, whichever game we play. If you like the look of dMw, sign up to the forum and get the password for when the Dead Men Racing server is private.
If by 'mature' you mean fair, clean and sensible, visit the Dead Men Racing forum. Take look at the dMw home page etc. and if you like what you see, register on the forum. When you've done that you will have access to a private server 24/7. We recommend you join Ventrilo as well, it makes all the difference.
I've done GTR and GTL and found them both wanting in the ways outlined in so many posts above. I started to download the demo and was reading this thread at the same time. I got to 21% and thought "What the hell am I doing? It'll be another £35 down the tubes! Stop it!'
I'm not worried as to how 'integrated' it would be as long as it's on the same screen and I can see other racers results as well. (getting greedy now, but I smell an app coming on)
Bummer! I could have sworn, that with all the expertise out there and all the stats that lsf can throw at you, it would have been a breeze. Oh well, perhaps a feature for the future.
This thread is all double Dutch to me, so a simple question.:dunce: Is there an InSim program that will let me see a list of all my lap times after a race? A la GTL (OK, I'll wash my mouth out!) It would be great to see if you are consistant throughout a race rather that just your best lap. If there isn't such an app, is it possible to make one?
Something I'd like to see would be, that when a race finishes and everyone has crossed the line, after a few seconds the game reverts automatically to either practise or qualifying. As it is, there's a lot of mooching around until someone decides to start a vote. It would be nice for there to be a definitive 'end' to a race.
What I find to be the most disappointing is WHY he did it. He goes on to show what a great driver he is by finishing 5th! (I still don't like the arrogant, cheating git! . I'd kick him off my server straight away)
But the stewards did. With the might and majesty of Ferrari and Schumacher to contend with, it seems unlikely they would have dished out the punishment they did without some pretty damning evidence. Even the Ferrari spokesman, Luca somebody, didn't seem to be as outraged as he should have been if it was a 'mistake'
I have nothing to add to this thread, but I would like to say what a well argued discussion this is. A pleasure to read a thread that hasn't degenerated into a slanging match.
Just to nip back to Bo's contribution.........Marvelous! My only disappointment is that the overhead road sign in SO, has reverted to 'City Center'. It didn't occur to me to back up my 'City Centre' one. (CTY_Logos2.dds) For the pedants among you.
The wonderful thing is they were taking the p*ss out of the whole sorry Eurovision mess! Everyone voted for them! SUOMI! SUOMI! SUOMI!:banana::banana:
