When I come to Finland I have to drive with the shifter on the 'wrong' side. It takes about 20 minutes to get used to it and a couple of days for it to feel natural. Don't be so negative.
A good tip is to say to yourself "If I smoked, I'd have a cigarette right now" every time you feel the need. The intense craving fades, and you're back on track! Keep at it, you'll feel as smug as hell in a few years. I know most people buy their cigarettes off the black market, but £5 a packet!
Excellent work with just one observation. The background textures are now too sharp. I couldn't put my finger on what was wrong but eventually twigged it. I reverted to the old ones and the background is not 'in yer face'. Apart from some subliminal advertising, (500 servers and STCC) a top class job
I would like to see the sequence of repairs whilst making a pitstop changed from 'Minor damage-Major damage' to 'Major damage-Minor damage'. You've no idea how distressing it for my wife to hear a grown man scream at his monitor; 'For God's sake! Leave the scratches and fix the bloody suspension!':banghead:
Happy new year to all the clean drivers out there.
Push to talk may work for the people you're on TS with though. Have a thought for them.
It's not the FF he's talking about I guess, it's the whizzing gear noises right? I've often pondered taking mine apart and applying some nylon type grese. (If there is such a thing)
Have to agree. All the skins I make for our lot, I keep a 2048^ copy for my skins folder. Maybe it's egotism, but I like to see the work I've done, as I've done it. For the rest, there are a few skins that I'd like better resolutions for but it's not THAT important. Choice is good though.
/takes Christmas hat off.:arge:
Am I alone in being peeved by people arriving in the middle of a race and demanding (yes, usually it's a demand) a setup? Wait till the race is over for god's sake!
/puts Christmas hat back on.:lovies3d:
I generally watch all the replays and make a list of what I consider to be the blatant wreckers. Unfortunately a high proportion of 'wreckers' are simply 'red mist' incidents or stupid retaliations/reactions, where the originators get away with it.
Having said that, on the whole Barricade does a good job.
Remember the old saying by someone who's name I forget, "You can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time"
Sounds are so subjective, that one man's meat is another man's poison. For me, these sounds are good. I think Scawen KNOWS what is right and what is wrong and eventually, given his track record, all the people will be pleased.
All right, most of the people.
In regard to the auto updating. Terrific feature but...can it not also be available in the 'Join Specific Server' window? Or does that count as a feature request?
Nah, you're all right mate. I get to see loads of replays like this and 90% of them are down to youthful pig ignorance and a surfeit if testosterone. Yours started with an 'incident' which should have been shrugged off. You seem to have done that ok. The rest was down to his ill temper. Forget it.
Funnily enough, we have heard from a spammer defending his point of view. So, they either don't read this forum, in which case we're preaching to the converted, or spammers are a figment of our collective imaginations.
MSN 8 is horrendous. 7.5 is good. I'm like you, got problems and searched around for a replacement. Sadly, nothing comes close as far as I'm concerned.
An example of racing against good drivers, as opposed to just 'fast' drivers.
Last night I found myself, for whatever reason, in front of SparkyDave (I make no apology for naming names) and knowing he is seriously good I managed to hold him up for 3 or 4 corners(so5). No mean achievement I can tell you! I know for a fact that a lesser guy would have barged me out of the way simply because I'm slower, but keeping to my line, he waited for the right moment before steaming past! It was almost a pleasure to be passed. It's how I imagine all racers ought to act. I wish I'd kept a replay. Remember, the onus is on the car behind to pass safely not for you to move out of the way(unless you're blue flagged of course)
Thankfully there are many, many people like Dave in S2. DHs are in a minority.
/rambling mode=off
Like wot he said. It always amazes me how people complain about servers and how they've been banned etc. If they're a bunch of ****s why do you want to play with them? This is the main reason I would like to see 'Favourites' in the server list. Go where you are welcome. Unless of course YOU are the ****, in which case you're on your own kid!
Only kidding you Deggis. As far as any differences, I'd say, pretty confidently, there are none. If there are, they're bloody too subtle for me to pick up on!
