Id prefer a city FURTHER north

Edinburgh for example. Anyone who has played Project Gotham on the Xbox will know how much fun it is flying around there

You could easily have cobbled streets too

Such a shame that decent and honest 'Celeb' is taken from us. A true legend who im sure will have a lasting legacy that helps out the various conservation projects.

RIP

Quote from keiran :Was a great drive from Lewis but a bit hot headed when he went to spin the car around. I was excpecting someone to run into him.

Keiran

Yeah I noticed that too, could have been nasty.

However, a great comback race anyway. At least JA didnt gush as much crap as he does when button overtakes. I wish F1 had that much action.

Most of the racing was clean and of a high quality. F1 should be exaclty the same but with faster cars and more polished driving. IMO F1 seems to sap the competitiveness out of some drivers. For instance, when Rosberg first started in F1 he had loads of enthusiasm and overtook quite a bit, now he appears to be just another runner. Same goes for JPM, the longer he was on the scene the less good racing we saw from him.

Anyway, lets hope F1 stabalises enough soon so that there is a similar competitiveness that provides opportunities.

(having said all that Alosno-Shumacher was pretty good last week )

How to Poop at Work

Its funny because its all so true. Ive done it all before, but never had the terminology

I would like to add the CAMO-SNIFF to the CAMO-COUGH. Sometimes a sharp&loud breath in or out can also alert others to your presence in the stall. However, constant heavy breathing is not recommended......

Here is another rant....

Anyone heard the news today that Car insurance is set to go UP significantly? Norwich Union have announced they aren't making a profit on young drivers so they are hiking up premiums. As if car insurance wasn't bed enough already!

Like someone else on this forum said: "Car insurance is legalised robbery", or something to that effect.

Quote from antman2006 :That sucks Looks like I might have to get a refund or sell my LFS.

Kinda sucks really

You obviously do not have the same problem as myself. I suggest you start your own thread to outline your problem and provide details of what you have tried.

Well, it is solved because I know the reason for my crap connection.

Therefore I can now do something about it, like changing ISP.

I am interested.

Not sure about other dSRC members yet, but im sure I could get one!

BTW - for clarity, are driver changes allowed? e.g. If I was busy one week I could use a sub?

However, my participation is influenced by my ability to get a new ISP before the start. 2months you say? Eek!

"ring ring ring ring"
"hello talktalk how can i help you?"
"hi, you're fired!"

if only^

I would prefer a weekday evening to the weekend. I do stuff at the weekend usually. Unless it was late weekend, but that just makes it complicated.

NTL are a cable provider, so they are a no go. Demon look OK, but don't really seem geared towards home users. I also noticed quite quickly that they have a fair usage policy thingy. But who knows how strict/flexible they will be...

MRBOGEY "ntl are a no go" just wondering why? I don't really care

TAA is correct, im in a village that has no cable connection.

Thanks for the tips folks.

Vispa looks the most promising at the moment.

To be fair, I never had any problem with my broadband with talktalk on my 512 and then 1Mb connection UNTIL they release their 'free broadband' package. So I guess it is mostly down to an overloaded network and high usage users being penalised.

I guess I could probably get away with most ISPs, but im leaning towards the more obscure ISPs with competitive packages.

Quote from Stellios :Ive just got talktalk in, and its not as bad as i expected, albeit not the best. If i got my way it would have been zen or nildram going in, but my dad pays for it.

well, watch you LFS gaming go down the pan if you intend to use it alongside normal internet use.

Quote from the_angry_angel :Vote with your feet. Move ISP.

If you request a MAC (Migration Code) from Plusnet they HAVE to give you one, and assuming you aren't going to keep any kit they gave you, they shouldn't charge you. Give that code to your new ISP and you dont have to go through the faff that you do with cancelling and then ordering again.

thanks for that tip. ill keep it in mind.

ive started another thread about gamer friendly ISPs now anyway.

Quote from Jakg :well have you tried explaining to them that you think its unfair that you are limited on what you pay good money for and that the newspapers would like to here about it?

I can't be arsed, and I have tried politely already. I don't fancy screaming at some scouser wifey who doesn't actually understand what im on about.
