I must admit yesterday's F1 was slightly better than usual. However, the one thing that annoys me is that generally the guy in front has to have some sort of a problem for a pass to take place. For instance Raikonnen passing Button, as Button had problems towards the end.
If that ammount of overtaking took place at every race I would be a bit happier, and I would prefer it to be at the front of the grid as well, i.e. the championship leaders ACTUALLY racing on track rather than in the pits. TBH ive yet to see a race where the Ferrari and Renault were anywhere near each others pace, so far it has been one or the other dominating for some reason.
While im not bothered about the test/map overlapping as this is easily solved by blocking, what is slightly annoying is when you want to use the Menu.
For instance, I need to change my FOV so I press escape to bring up the menu, but if the text has scrolled down my window alot then it overlaps the menu a bit, meaning I either have to block or press 'h' to remove the chat lines so I can see and access the menu.
So, if possible it would be nice to switch the layers so that the Menu appears infront of any text and/or game window data, i.e. Menu 'always on top' feature
I would say the majority of established members are basically waiting in the back ground for something to happen to bring them back into it more. In the mean time new members are becoming more and more apparent, this isn't a bad thing it's just that most of what they say has usually been discussed before and so the commuity is kind of bored with it.
I find myself posting more in the off-topic and racing sections as these currently hold more interesting threads and im pretty much done discussing LFS in the main sections.
Have you tested with another game at all? Or done the obvious thing of checking the wires... Checked that FFB is turned up in game '.' button?
Also, you say you previously had to re-initialise the wheel alot before to get it working, so maybe it was dodgy before and has now given up - unless it works elsewhere.
Anyway, those are the obvious checks.
I take it you have the latest Wingman software too?
That is so so so true. Before JA, F1 coverage used to be quite impartial, but now we just get JA going on about how great Jenson is, or how crap his car is this weekend. You could tell he was excited this weekend seeing as his old buddy JB got into the top 4.
I agree that ITV sucks wang too. Adverts, I loath adverts. Please don't waste my time with bloody adverts! Especially the stupid ITV sequences with some daft oriental punk waving a gay flag etc etc.......where the hell did that intro come from!!!!!111!!!..........
Bring back the BBC with no adverts, no JA and a proper intro and that good old theme tune! You know the one
If you take a look at the patch thread section you might notice that you just need to re-calibrate and re-assign the axis (in LFS) or something to get it going again.
I love the new track selection screen and the modified mini-map, but I have one small suggestion.
The cars are now portrayed as triangles on the mini-map, however they look like equilateral triangles. Would it be possible to make them more like isosceles triangles so that it is much more obvious as to which direction the cars on the mini-map are travelling/facing. At the moment the triangles basically give the same information as the squares used to, i.e. only track position and not a clear direction. So if they were made thin at the base and tall it would be more arrow like.
Well, although I am not wearing the old rose tinted spectacles and I do agree that it has been handled badley, I still think that if Kunos can continue to work hard then over time he might be able to establish nKar Pro a bit better and develop a better community.
For me nKar is the second most promising sim after LFS and I admired its 'hardcore' approach. Ignoring the glitches I thought it was easily just as playable as LFS and in some cases more fun.
Even when I was young lad(!) I did a weekend paper round and earned less than a fiver per weekend. I would have had to wait at least six weekends to get anywhere near S2. Those days I bought NFS though....
But thinking back on it, going from a total zero on Stage 16 to nothing short of a hero on Stage 17 would have required a miracle.............or drugs
Its sad really, Im all for great sportsmen making amazing wins like his Stage 17 appeared to be, so Ill withhold full judgement until we hear about the B sample. However, it does look bad.........numpty! illepall
