I have been in Kuala Lumpur for the past 8 weeks and I am going to the Grand Prix! Yay! My first one!
Anyway, I can almost guarantee you all a VERY wet race! Come 3-4pm in the afternoon you are VERY likely to have a VERY heavy rain storm! It has done this consistently for the past week at least. It is 15.40 just now, and it is torrential rain, it started at 15.00.
To be honest, I could see the rainfall here being enough for a red flag. I think aqua-planing is a very high possibility, given the sheer volume in such a relatively short space of time. The grand prix is due to start at 3pm local time, so that matches almost exactly with the time of day we have storms here.
I will be taking my waterproof jacket and an Umbrella to the race!
I reckon you can probably remove ~70-80% material to make the tubing? Obviously dependant on your wall thickness..which again will be dependant on the what your torque requirements etc are. Anyway, I bet you could get some good stuff off-the-shelf anyway...but I guess that defeats the design brief!
What course is this for anyway? Engineering degree?
Sounds interesting anyway. Should be able to learn a lot of basics by researching all these possible materials.
Since I started work, in both the US and Malaysia I have had only a work laptop and internet!
No gaming/LFS for me online OR offline! Only time I can play is when I get home
However, I am going to be staying in Kuala Lumpur for next few years....so I'm going to ship my PC over LFS at last!.....but in a crappy time zone! Hello Australian LFSers?!
Stupid idea, full stop. Winning & Consistency are just as important as each other. Just look at McLaren a few years back when they had the fastest car on it's day, but it was so unreliable it was barely competitive.
Nope, I actually prefer a Twix to both of them, but unfortunately that wouldn't help my feeble attempt at a planetary pun
MMM, biscuit and raisin Yorkie.......NOT FOR GIRLS!
p.s. why does US chocolate taste so different to the UK? UK stuff rulez! Also a Mars in the US is a Milkyway, while a Milkyway is a Mars.....confused me anyway!......... 'I want a Mars so I'll have a Milkyway! AAHHH, nooo!'
I'm just going to be politically correct and say I like them all equally the same.....therefore I pick the Milkyway! MMMMM, Milkyway...yum, it tastes better than a Mars too
