Locally, East Fife.....cept I have no idea how they are doing recently

In the SPL...Rangers.

However, I am not a diehard, I will support any Scottish team in Europe, I like to see 'em do well. I'm more of a national team supporter tbh, it's the only jersey I have!

Quote from J.B. :
Interviewer: Will you be influenced by the presence of the FIA inspector in the McLaren garage?

LH: There are so many people in the pits that unless he has a huge afro or a clown costume I wont even notice him.

Nice quote!

I'm glad that it has been left down to the racing, although I do agree that the FIA needs to spell out punishments for all these infringements.

Quote from sinbad :Just buy a bar of Dairy Milk or Galaxy!

I wish I could! American chocolate just isn't as good as back home! Although I have a sneaking suspicion that 'Dove' bars are Galaxy bars re-badged for the US. I have yet to try one....must fight the temptation!

Baby Ruths are good, probably my favourite US choccy. Snickers are the same (thankfully), but Mars bars and Milkyways are completely flipped. A Mars bar is a Milkway and vice-versa! Was very confusing at first! Twix bars are also subtly different. The chocolate is less of a milk chocolate, and more of a super sweet choccy that people seem to like here. I also do not get the facsination with Peanut Butter and Chocolate, i.e. Reeces choccies! Now, I am partial to a peanut butter and jam/jelly sandwich...but that's as far as I go!

I'm hungry!

Quote from The General Lee :I'm not that old but I still find it hilarious when you put a wooden spoon under a tea towel, hold it against your nuts, raise the spoon up so it looks like you have a hard on...

You made me LOL at work....I'm getting funny looks!

Doesn't every guy play with the shopping trolley? I know I do.

Hey, if we didn't have fun we would all be boring miserable old gits!

My favourite pastime is still riding my bike, and I don't think i'll ever stop that until I loose my legs! Look at it this way, we still love to play with racing cars (be it LFS or watching GP etc), bikes and play armies! (paintball!) Or things along those lines....

Grow up....never! :wallace:

3. Why does the sun lighten our hair, but darken our skin?

Oooh, good one!

Also, why do clothes get darker (or see-through) when wet? (I'm guessing it's all just light re-flection/fraction)

Quote from mr_x :I'm onto track 2... very impressed so far, much better than Hail to the Theif so far.

Agreed! Only on track 4/5 atm (had to go out), but it is definitely a move in the right direction.

Radiohead have never created another album to match the anthems of The Bends and OK Computer, but IMO this has taken a step back from their most recent albums, which is a good thing. As much as I admired and enjoyed Hail to the Theif and the Erazer by Thom Yorke, they weren't exactly 'easy listening'. IMO the songs/albums were all 'growers', they took a lot of listening to to get into the rhythms and hidden beats which I think alienated previous Radiohead fans.

People wanted another 'Creep', but they weren't getting anything near, we got distracted electronica instead. I liked it, infact I loved it just for being different and trying something new.

This album, I feel, has taken the best of both worlds - Radiohead of old and new. We have more Thom Yorke vocals in the vein of 'Karma Police' but still with a diluted electronica vibe in the background. IT varies from track to track, so I guess that keeps everyone happy!

7/8 out of 10 from me, and I haven't even finished listening to the whole album!

Quote from Albieg :Because this could at the same time virtually reopen the championship, put Hamilton in a position where his driving skills should be demonstrated and could keep spectators' interest alive till the last Grand Prix. The show must go on, and it must be interesting!

Thus generating another artificially created situation.

Why can't incidents in a race no longer be just that....racing incidents. For instance, if the FIA hadn't penalised Alondo during 'Pitlane Gate' then I reckon we would have an even closer championship at the moment. Warnings or consistant point penalties I think would be just as effective as all these different penalties that are handed out willy-nilly.

Quote from Mustafur :Montoya(2001) and Button(2000) just spring to mind..

Who were both in debut seasons at the time.

I'm not slating Ralf at all. He was a decent driver in his prime and had a few noteable races. He has never been massively outshone by any of his team mates either (off the top of my head!), so IMO he did his best with most of the drives he was in. He just doesn't have the final few percent to be a more exciting driver. His attitide always sucked though IMO.

See, I would like to buy the disc box, but does anyone else think it's pretty pointless having vinyl LPs in there? (they are vinyls aren't they?) OK, I know some people LOVE vinyl, but really, shouldn't they just make them an optional extra for those who do want it.

I reckon a CD box set with all the other crap would be fine, maybe make it 20-30quid instead.

I would happily pay 20quid for just the CD, I don't really need all the other crap!

I voted 'All is Good'.

Mainly because I am so busy with other stuff [Life (tm)] at the moment that I don't have time for LFS. All I do is lurk on this forum these days.

I also don't have access to a LFS capable PC, just my work laptop. Therefore I am actually quite happy that there have been no major updates! I am quite happy to wait longer to see a bigger and better update, so that when I finally get back to my gaming PC I won't be so far behind the rest of in terms of practising with the latest version!

Otherwise I am too busy riding my bikes! Had a mountain bike race last weekend, an 80mile MTB ride this weekend and another race the following weekend! After that I will be doing a century ride (100+ miles!) on my road bike! So I have plenty to keep my occupied! Jeez...there is actually life beyond LFS forums

So take your time Scavier! You have the support of all the forum faithful lurkers who are just biding their time like me!

p.s. If possible please time any future releases around Xmas! That way I will at least be home for a while to try it out!

Quote from hrtburnout :Didn't the Dutch team beat Scotland by 6-0 some time ago?

I believe that was in the dark days we had under Berti Vogts, who single handedly killed any small chances that Scotland may already have had.

The major shame of the reign under Berti was that it went on soo long! How many terrible results did we have to produce under his coaching before we realised a change was needed?

I mean, look at the up-turn in form we have had immediately after his departure! I will admit Scotland have limited talent when it comes to the footy, but we have to make sure that whatever coach we have makes the most of our team spirit and gets the team well organised and disciplined so that the big teams at least get a good game against us...or we beat them....twice!
