Why cant you imagine them doing anything significant? The air has to do something. however insignificant you may see it. I find it harder to imagine the air doing nothing at all.

But comparing the same car with a wing and without 1 would have more downforce than the other even if both are producing lift overall. 1 would be heavier. Right? Thus producing more downforce than the car next to it.

"pretty much" meaning they do but not enough for you to call it downforce? Or straight simply, they produce lift and no downforce?

So all production cars produce lift, and dont produce any downforce?

lets go back to the examples in the thread topic.

What is the ferrari doing that makes it have downforce that any other production car isnt doing in a smaller amount? As i see it the exact same principles are in place, its just the ferrari is better at doing it than say, the civic which is actually doing downforce just not as well.

Im struggling to see the difference.

Reducing the lift is not downforce? Aircraft can fly at some pretty slow speeds, if a plane can lift off at those speeds then surely a car can be pushed down at those speeds? Some light aircraft take off around 60mph because of their shape, surely the shape of a car comes into play at the same speeds?

edit: by the way not trying to justify ricer wings or such, just that production cars have spoilers wings etc.

Agree with this. Although if the devs want us to only have 45 or 90 then ill go with that. Most likely I just wont look left or right as much any more, and go with gut feeling and accept the consequences. People are going to have to be a lot more aware of others blind spots now, if the driver infront hasnt seen you or noticed you there he may pull into you. All part of racing though I guess.

yep the rac and fz scenes are nice too.

Really liked it some good bits in the mrt's it looks so good from that angle didnt understand a word of the music but it seemed to fit well enough with the vid.

i really like the 1 lap system the lx competition had, it was really good fun, i can imagine some really sweet hillclimb layouts with it and stunt layouts.
