i dont use the default sets but race S if i dont have a setup for that track or cant find one on the team inferno website race S is not too bad at all. cant say i ever tried default.

That was the most nerve racking, sweaty, intense, ache bringing bit of racing ever!

I finished 6th on server 2, i didnt expect to do that well as i was trying my best to not piss anyone off by crashing, i cant believe i did 59 laps without flipping or going off the track. i think i put two wheels on the dirt once! and i went wide in T1 twice! bloody lucky if you ask me. I went into pit at lap 33 and was sure that if i came out of the pits behind teazr he would leave me behind, but i started gaining on him! i put some pressure on made a move or two and finally got him on lap 53 or something, wow what a buzz! I shall spent most of tonight resting my hand and watching the replay to see what else happened.

Actually I printed off a tonne of prices from the web, went down to PC World and got them to price match it for me. They were going to match it to the price of amazon but the guy on the till was a bit silly and matched it to the price of ebuyer and it was £60.

We got 2 DFP for 60 quid each, one was faulty so we looked on the web for stores that had some (we cleared out my local shop of DFP stock) once we found one that had one, I think we may have phoned up their hotline to find a store with one in stock, we headed over there and swapped it for a new one.

When I try to load a single player game, it says it is autocross, i cant change the laps it says "Autocross: fixed number of laps" and I cant add AI drivers or anything.

This is when I try to play a single player game on BL GP.

If i load up the track I have to clear the layout and then exit so I can add AI drivers and then some laps etc.

Why does it keep thinking a BL GP race is an autocross and why does it never remember that I cleared the layout

Im sure im doing something wrong here!!!

ive been trying to make an endurance set but its really pushing my lap times up to 1:17s ... i dont know if i want to keep the inferno set or try my newly made R3 endurance set i think i will just keep to my 1 stop strategy, im not trying to win but just take part!

welcome to LFS, once you get your license you will love it even more!

i like the current damage model too, i took the FXO out for a spin the other day and i lost it in the chicane and it made the car so funny to look at! still get surprised by the damage and how random it can be, and i still LOLLERBUBBLE all the way down the straights after a flip.

have you patched LFS to the latest version?

Its running R2's on the front, does changing to R3's allow higher running temperatures but do they actually have more rubber on them so they last longer too?

Ok, so im thinking I need to be on R3's, so what next to make them last but still give good handling, do I bump up the tyre pressures? If i do that what would I need to change in the suspension.

Do I make the suspension softer to compensate for higher pressures? Or do i need it stiffer to give more handling, im a bit lost at this point. any info on how you make a set last longer will be greatly appreciated!!!

i would say take the XFR to westhill international, rather than Blackwood because westhill can be forgiving on the curbs, its got good chances for drafting and making overtaking moves, high speed braking points and you learn to stay at a constant speeds round the corners rather than just keeping your foot on the floor. blackwood can be really unforgiving in the XFR.

Maybe they would be interested in doing a little "games" programme in the future that should include LFS, as it is a racing sim. Motors TV has so much racing on it, I bet if LFS were to be shown (or even repeated a few times during a week) it would bring some punters in because LFS has that awesome racing edge to it.

Maybe if some league races were to be shown on that channel too you might get regulars tune in to watch it?

my old voodoo3 card blew up in a similar fashion to that. if it just happened after a blue screen or something then your card may have just died.
