why would there be too many tracks if they included reverse? i mean even if there were 200 tracks you would still have a rank if you did 1 of them, as it is at the moment. my favourite track is SO town reverse (im not very fast its just an example) but it doesnt count toward the rank so if you like a reverse track you lose out on the rank in that car. i understand that the MHR would have too much to do, but if you want to specialize in a certain car it should have every track in my oppinion. that way you arnt forced into hotlapping a track you arnt very good at to get a rank. if you include them all it would be more fair on everyone.

im doing hotlaps for just 1 car but there is only 18 for the rank in that car, i know about the MHR and nutter ranks which include all cars / tracks.

if you want to concentrate on 1 car theres only 18 to do as your pic shows.

Does anyone know why there is only a selection of 18 tracks to get the ranks in a particular car? None of them are the "rev" tracks either, and it also doesnt include the new patch tracks either?

Is there a reason why all track combos are not included in the ranks for each car type?

a buddy list would do that. you check your list in game and see who is where.

if you change the angle of sun in the CMX viewer really fast it looks like a day went by in 10 seconds, sometimes i do it just for kicks.

i can play back on black on the guitar (not while im racing tho ) what a cool tune that is, should of had it on my list.

my team is 2 people. my friend who i convinced to get a wheel and get LFS. its not a serious one, never entered league races or anything, and well my mate doesnt even play LFS anymore (he was cheesed off about being kicked off of servers and not being competetive) so its just me in the team really. i plan to eventually set up the wacky races as a proper team but for now its just some fun and a reason to make a skin.

its true that you cant get true realism from any racing game, due to limitations of computers, 2d graphics (even if its 3d graphics, its still on a 2d screen 19" wide), sound coming from just a few speakers, and more...

if the original poster had given reasons, im sure this thread would have been a bit better. ill try and speak for him in wht i think are the unrealistic / arcadey things about LFS... of which we all know and have an answer for. ie the sim is still under development.

1) the damage and pinging of cars off of barriers.

2) the graphics lacking some details such as dirt.

3) weather effects are lacking.

4) the way public servers are short races, not taken too seriously, and are a pick up and play style.

well thats all i can think of that the OP would of meant with his post. and we could of given good reasons for why they are like that.

we do have road cars in LFS, plus there is a stereo graphic i find music motivates my driving. if you dont listen to music no need to respond spoil sports

Ok, im not sure how many of you play music while racing, i do, so i thought i would open a thread about it. heres what you have to do, its quite hard to think about them all especially if you have lots of music to choose its difficult ... doesnt have to be any particular type of music!

i know what you mean but im sure the guy didnt intend it to be trolling but was just expressing what he felt at the time in a really rushed manner

i think if he keeps on playing LFS it wouldnt be a bad thing, infact he would just contradict himself which is way better than just showing him where the door is.

you know forums can be a really awkward thing sometimes, and people dont always express themselves in the way they intended to from the start. infact he probably found it very frustrating that he didnt get his message accross in the way he wanted to, and maybe will take a different approach next time.

yes! exactly what i was thinking, it should damage the front bumper and slow you down, or less downforce, maybe even a black flag for loose bodywork!

it will come in time, all these little niggly issues will be made right so we have a perfect racing sim.

i hope he doesnt leave and gives LFS a bit more time yet, there is more to come in the game, sometimes forums can cause someone to say stuff they shouldnt, or it can scare people away from really getting used to the game for what it should be. i know this, ive had my clashes with people but i still love this game with all my heart and im so glad i never left it when i said i would!!!

just give it time mate. Maybe you need to try a different car, here ill give you a suggestion of a car to try for a bit on some public servers. Take out the XFR and find a reasonably busy server, and i promise you will see why some people love LFS. the close pack and awesome tracks make for some really enjoyable racing.
