well assuming that there would be no other way in the next couple of mounths/ years or so you could send me a script or something about what youre planning to do (cam position, movements & angle for each screne, prefered fov, screen resolution, fps and so on). Depending on the complexity i could see what i can do for you and then upload the pieces to rapidshare, megaupload or whatever you prefer.
discovered the demo at the end of Oct 02 and had so many nice races. I was always to lazy to get the licence but thanks to lfs.de it was finally possible for me in Feb 04. Had also no credit card, paypal whatsoever and lfs.de made it at some point possible to order and pay it via bank account if i remember this correctly. How many miles? I dont know, maybe 50000+? Who cares...
well we are still driving BF1 now and then i guess and the GTR server was also around for quite a while now but yeah, the server is packed with some really nice and experienced racers atm and its much more fun then ever before actually Hope to cya around buddy
Fragmaster (particularly FM-Failure ) has finally solved the issue which emerged after the last insim update and upgraded the so called "newbie filter" and now proudly presents the brand new GTR/ Oval servers (also many thanks to [FPR]Yankman at this point for his time and help ). There are basically two servers available. First would be the (FM) OvaL StArTerS server which is there to get used to the cars (just in case you're new to this combination) &/ or to gather the requirements which are needed in order to join the second server (FM) NascaR 5oo . You need to have at least 200 laps and a laptime of 39.20 at one of each cars. Proper setups are available here http://setupfield.teaminferno.hu (make sure you read the info for each "hotlap" setup). It is also possible to download hotlap replays from here www.lfsworld.net to maybe compare and correct your race line or maybe you're even better and then upload your very own hotlaps.
summary for lazy forum users ():
- updated insim "newbie filter"
- two servers available, (FM) OvaL StArTerS & (FM) NascaR 5oo - requirements for the (FM) NascaR 5oo are: 200 laps & laptime: 39.20 with any car - get setups here http://setupfield.teaminferno.hu
- get hotlap replays here www.lfsworld.net
- make sure your setup is adjusted properly (added mass position, tires, downforce, fuel) / you can also ask other people for help/ setups of course
- amount of laps depends on the number of players (usually 8 laps no pit stops or 20 laps with forced pitstop)
Basic rules are as follows (applied at both servers):
- standing on track is not allowed since there is no pace car around (check the map and your mirrors after a fatal crash and pit in/ spectate if necessary)
- always pass on the inside & let pass on the inside, do not block (only exeption would be the last lap after turn 3 if you think that you really have to win, movements that forces a crash at this point can result in a kick/ ban)
- do not download while racing, players with high pings are unacceptable for this kind of racing (0.30+ will be removed)
- obey the blue flag rule: do not interfere with cars that are ahead of you in the grid order (let them pass and if you are able to catch the draft, stay behind and do not overtake)
The idea behind it is rather obvious i think. This system has been created to "force" people that are having none or less practice at either the vehicles, the track or the behaviour on track in general to check if they could enjoy this kind of action or to simply prove themselves and their skills. The oval is different compared to other tracks which makes it surely not less enjoyable. So if you're able to burn some fast laps into the tarmac and got your 200 laps together then feel free to join the advanced/ pro server and get some practice with other people at your level or learn from those who are quicker or are more experienced with certain techniques such as drafting.
Good luck & have fun!!
The Fragmaster Team

Reason : content slightly updated
well, without pointing at someone in particular i just wanted to mention that there are two things which are completely worthless having and argue about. Generalizations and the good old question of taste.
I like all sorts of movies and in general it depends on my mood. My favorites are surely those with sci-fi & action components but once in a while i like to watch a rather stupid movie or shall i say, something funny where i do not actually need to use my brain as i would do it with thrillers, dramas, you name it. There are some really good movies out there and i hate to prejudge a movie by its cover, title or some odd critics. I agree that there is also a lot of junk available. My sensors are quite good adjusted for this stuff but once in a while even those can fail and i probably would have missed some real good movies if i wouldn't have watched them later out of coincidence or so.
Regarding your comments you seems to have a problem with me in a personal nature (i got it, just checked your post history, one of them anti oval fraction guys, hate the track - hate the players eh? illepall). Just in case there is a next time, i prefer to either ignore you or put you on the list. Besides, it IS a film by Scorsese but the story is INDEED from someone else. I never denied this did i?

Reason : added some informations
at "the Departed" Siu Fai Mak is clearly mentioned as writer who was also responsible for "Mou gaan dou" but it seems to me that both earned the rights from an earlier movie called "Internal Affairs". So after checking your link which refers to "Mou gaan dou" im not really sure what point you are trying to make.
strike out? What you said might be true but that doesn't changes the fact that "the Departed" is a Scorsese movie. And i can't imagine thats its a 1:1 copy but i haven't seen the other one yet.
just use my racer name, which im using ever since i got my licence btw My lfs user name, well lets say it appeared out of a decent mood
Maybe another barrier for me but maybe not. Fact is the story had a really funny beginning or shall i say rather stupid? Out of coincidence they discover this place exactly 100 years after the last contact and the tunnel down to the pyramid has been created by the predator vessel 24h before the team arrived? Mother alien who is like what, a thousand years old and is getting little baby aliens only every hundred years or so? Not to mention the mean jackass penguin For me this just spoiled the rest of the movie and i wasnt able to take it as "serious" as the classics.
well i think Scorcese's "Gangs of New York" and "the Departed" where two very nice movies actually. Havend seen the rest since casino exept these two but i believe they have simular quality...
regarding DBW last comment, i agree that it was a funny movie but not actually something i did expected. I have seen worse and its truly not one of my favorites. Matter of taste i guess.
fair enough, i think ill blame it on them usual language barriers (or maybe at the laziness that emerged after i felt a slightly taste of a generalisation ) that i wasn't able to figure that out of the context. Anyhow im rather confident about the second part but when it turns out to be crap as well then heck there are plenty of other movies around at the time i presume. Not to mention the proceeding of LOST
forgive me if i miss the point of your presumptions but when there are good movies and the sequel was crap then why shouldn't it happen the opposite way? Im afraid we have to find that out. I hate to prejudge a movie and yet even good/ crap trailers are not worth doing a safe judgement. Let me ask you something, have you ever had a situation where you thought that its going to be crap, or a book or movie or whatever would be boring but it turns out to be ok or even better?
well i think you are currently comparing apples with bananas. AvP2:R will be different because of several important facts. Directors, writers and cast is different not to mention the hole rest of the crew. AvP of course was boring because the script was awful and it had none of the raw emotion or power of the Predator or Alien movies. It had some nice effects and it had true potential but the fact that the hole movie was located at a god forsaken place somewhere (where was it again, northpole or something? (Sector 14 :nod who cares...) made this movie even more worse.
So im looking forward and the trailer looks like we are getting something more "original" again, if not better (hopefully ).

Reason : added a minor detail
and its not even his setup lol, besides that its screwed.
for the suspension id say its a matter of taste, you dont want it too soft or too stiff and it should give you a good feeling for every situation (corner entry/exit; straight behaviour (optimal compensation for tarmac irregularities)) . As for the gearbox, well check out current hotlaps from the top of the list and see what speed they get and then try to reach simular or even better results if possible
yup just checked the trailers, looks also very interesting. What do you think about "3:10 to Yuma"? Maybe a Mod could rename the thread into something like "Movies: what are You waiting for?" If you have a more proper name for it which could describe the purpose even better, please go ahead.
its still in production and if you know the TV-Series "LOST" then you will get an idea about the movie since J.J. Abrams was and is (executive) producer.
You can find high quality trailers (same as on the website) here. For some reason the largest version was kind of buggy for me at the end (using VLC Media Player) but the second largest version worked just fine.
maybe try something, go to your winamp options (general) and see if you can find something called "process priority class" and make sure its set to "normal".
