If you don't like the off topic, don't scroll down that far? Its there so pointless stuff like that doesn't find its way to the parts normally filled with more informative posts.
It'll be fine, I have a 250W PSU in my spare system (Athlon 3000, GF 6600GT, 80GB HD). The worst it'll do if you somehow overload it, is just cause Windows to crash, or the computer to suddenly turn itself off.
Indeed, I have look left/right on the buttons (hold both and you look behind), handbrake/horn on the paddles (use shifter 95% of the time), and everything else on the shifter buttons, which are easy enough to reach without looking away from the screen.
Closest thing you'll get to drivers is the PS2 -> USB adapter driver, which you've probably already installed.
If the pedals are mapped to the semi-analog buttons or triggers (which is fairly common in el cheapo pedal sets), then having them mapped as a button is the best your going to get I'm afraid.
I used to use my old Sidewinder pedals for a clutch, can pick one up for under a tenner. That + a Logitech FF shifter = good fun.
There's an option in the app to toggle between constantly sending the button press, and only sending it once per gearchange, IIRC. That should fix it up.
Funny, I've been a customer of Savastore for years - used to pop down to their shop in Luton mostly (Watford Electronics it used to be called). Only time I had a problem with a component from there was a faulty HD, which they tested on the spot and replaced in a few mins.
Reading more and more bad things about them online though..I normally use Dabs these days.
I use an Action Replay (mostly a cheat thing) disk + any USB memory stick to do so. There's lots of websites for savegames, codejunkies being one of the biggest.
GT4 is definately a lot more fun with a DFP, because its easy enough that anyone with some driving experience can master the game and vehicles handling relatively quickly. Makes for the best multiplayer racing on console at the min IMO.
I think £100-ish might be a bit hopeful..you can get a DFP new with warranty for under £60 nowadays, and I parted with my AL Shifter (also had a Momo knob, as well as spare leaf springs/microswitches/2 USB boxes) for ~£35 I think, last year.
Similar question - to the guys who have recieved replacement wheels under warranty from Logitech, have you notiecd any difference to the feel or operation of anything? Is the shifter still sloppy feeling, the wheel louder to the left, etc?
Not as "addicted" as I used to be - I only race a couple of times a week when I'm not otherwise busy. However, of the time I spend playing games, LFS still takes up a large percentage of it, and in a good race I enjoy it just as much as I first did a couple of years back.
Whats spam to you is the section I click on the most, yes its a forum dedicated to LFS & related topics, but its also a community as Sam explained so nicely. And with relatively little LFS-related activity at the min, there's not much to waffle on about.
One thing I've seen other forums do, is not have posts made in Off-Topic sections count towards your post count. Just a thought.
