Another video of me driving round a layout, this one I've named 'Catarrh'.
No snotty nosed comments about the track name, please.
All 2,400 autocross items placed individually by hand and guesswork to get shape close to what I wanted.
Not to scale, but does cover an area of approx. 1.4 km x 1 km.
Track is 3.6 miles / 5.79 km overall.
Was going to record driving round in LFS livery, but I could only find small LFS logo, and when I blew it up to fit side of truck, it looked terrible (as you might make out in video thumbnail), so instead just went with plain colour.
Drove round in the LCT3000 light commercial truck modded by Cimanu, recently updated to include 'goods' in the back.
Made new circuit on the new large Layout Square, based on the real 'Area 27' track in Canada - https://area27.ca/circuit/.
The track I made is 3.3 miles / 5.3 Km overall, but because I used the speed bumps for track limits, didn't leave much out of the 2,400 objects available to make surround fencing, start, pit area, etc, so layout looks bit sparse.
Drove round using keys, in the modded Light Commercial Truck (LCT3000) mod by Cimanu.
What happens if someone makes a mod that includes real car names or logos, or takes meshes converted from other games, and just leaves it as a pre-release, with no intention of every submitting for review?
Looks like some of the mod images should take vertical size into consideration when shown on the Garage and/or Vehicle Mods screen, as they're being sized to fit horizontal width, but are too high to fit on screen, with bits cropped off.
It's not going to be too long before there are so many modded cars on the car MODS page when in game, that you'll end up scrolling a huge long list (with graphics and details) of different cars.
Maybe worth splitting up car categories such as when you click the category, only cars that belong there, appear?
For example:
My MSPaint skills lack a lot!
Edit
----
Alt layout with options on right hand side moved down so all 3 columns start on same height.
1) Would it be possible to run InSim of choice on home pc?
I know nothing about networking, but might be an issue if your internet provider doesn't provide a static IP?
2) Run LFSLapper, which is still being maintained and updated, although as I've never used Airio, no idea of what functions are there in free and paid versions.
Think this would be useful, else maybe a section for "Car mod bugs"?
I downloaded the BACALHAU car by Henricat2006, which seems to be designed with driver on left, but, if like me (and others that drive in Britain, etc) and you have driver on right hand side of car, then some of the dashboard is in reverse. So labels, trip meter, radio dial, etc, are back to front. But not speedometer, rev counter and fuel gauge.
