Well, if you have a serious suggestion to make that perhaps is a benefit for the server and the players, be specific, so it's easier take into consideration.

You can ask (but not really demand) as much as you want but In the end, Failure's making the final call - period(.)

As a matter of fact, i do know that Failure (the one in charge) is browsing these forums occasionally, so i suggest that you guys specify the "etc" a little bit more.

Quote from bunder9999 :EVERY CORNER. after yesterday's issues i had with that conedodgers guy, and being crashed into 5+ times in 10 minutes this morning, i now absolutely refuse to join any FM server.

oh, and thanks for kicking me from vent... maybe if you spent more time on your servers instead of vent i wouldn't be so pissy.

So it's everyone else crashing you and we, FM are to make responsible for this circumstance? Furthermore, why do you stay on vent, in the AFK channel (where it is not possible to talk - hence AFK channel), saying something along the line: " I refuse to join any FM server, only noobs blah blah..." and then wonder why you got kicked? Seriously, I fail to understand what you're really on about _but_ if there is still anything else you want to add on this matter then please visit us on ventrilo or create a thread in our forum.

Cheers

and so on, sorry - running outa time here...

/Random stuff - not exactly dnb or jungle but still some of my fav's tracks from that time:

The Martian - Stardancer
Speedy J - De-Orbit
Laurent Garnier - Acid Eiffel

Most jungle i was listening to is still banned onto some mixtapes, don't know all the artists though and the bunch on top of this post are just a few i actually do remember & managed to recognise. Also, i was listening to an online radio stream called "Version[k]" around 1999 for some time, until it disappeared . Still got some stuff left, thanks to streamripper. (that one was broadcasting some hot stuff...)

Right now, these day's so to speak, i'm listening to "BassDrive - Music Beyond - 247 DnB and Jungle" every now and then and can really recommend it but apart from that, my taste for music has shifted a little more towards other stuff, like ambient, dub and stuff like that, which occasionally got some dnb and jungle elements as well.

This is still just one facet of my music taste though...

Edit:

Limb by Limb many cool mixes but not the one i've got on my hard drive, still go check em out

Artist: "Technical Itch", outstanding (sick) stuff !!1

Solid State - Just a Vision ((Marcus Intalex Rmx) - (Intalex Mix) is the one i got but couldn't find it on youtube

According to some sources, it could also mutate with the (normal) season flu for instance. I don't dare to predict the outcome though.

Well it looks nice but i don't like these symbols for the flags popping up from behind objects for some reason. Also, i've seen in another video that when flying and having an ememy plane within view, it's surrounded by a circle, just like you'd have it on a modern day jet plane. Hope these things can be turned off. Also, you don't have to worry about ammunition any longer... Well, it's obviously getting more & more an arcade game which is kinda dislike for several reasons.

Hope there is gonna be a demo available to see how the gameplay looks like and if it's really worth the money.

Quote from XCNuse :
My roommate still plays BF2, he always gets on those bring a pistol to a knife fight servers, those guys are crazy lol!! watching that is so funny, unreal.. yes but oh so hilarious!

I remember doing that on a regular "inf only" server (just using knife or pistol) just to get my badges. Was kind of funny though, especially considering it was a 64 player server. I mean, hunting and perhaps even fraggin people only with a knife/ pistol while they're shooting at you with (sub)machine guns is just hilarious.

Quote from XCNuse :
I don't know about 1942 though, I love that game, I'm sure plenty of people still play it online, but man oh man does 1943 look gorgeous!

I can comfirm that. A lot still do since a lot of oldskool servers are still running. I'm also curious about 1943 though, especially regarding the handling of the planes.

Quote from XCNuse :
I tell you what though, 1942 changed FPS gaming forever with the entering vehicles thing, there may be others that had it before, but not on a large scale like this before, I instantly fell in love with that game when it came out (I never bought it though), but WOW how the entering vehicles has come so far!!
Is 1943 supposed to be basically the same thing as 1942 just with .. more and better looking stuff?

Operation Flashpoint for instance but BF was the first that was more arcade making it more atractive somehow. Been playing the demo for some time and got the full game rather quickly. Had a lot of nice battles, by foot & with vehicles.

I hope 1943 does't differ too much regarding gameplay. Too much bling bling (like commander mode...) would kill it (imo).

just googled for "allow game to adjust settings" and found this

http://www.answers-script.com/iracing/question.php?ID=79

Quote :"ALLOW GAME TO ADJUST SETTINGS" this is an email i received from Tom of the wingman team: This is a new feature. You know how much work it is to set up your wheel to work just right with a simulator? To set separate pedals and to adjust the wheel range? Everyone has to adjust those settings in the control panel (or Profiler), and then go back to their game and make the settings in the game match the ones that are set in the control panel. In 5.02, there is a new mechanism that allows games to ask for the current settings (such as: "Are the pedals combined or separate?"). A game can also adjust those settings, so for example, rFactor could adjust the steering angle to match the angle of the simulated car, or force separate pedals even if people forgot to turn on separate pedals. The idea is to make it easier for people and reduce the amount of setup work they have to do. Right now, there is no game shipping that makes used of this feature, but we hope that it will be used in future versions (or even patches of current sims). Of course, we understand that some people want to set up everything themselves. For those, we added a checkbox (the one you pointed out) which allows them to turn on or off this "autoconfiguration".

Not sure if its trustworthy but it's giving a clue about this setting for sure.

I'd say it's pointless to ask a question if you then refuse to understand the answer, especially when given in all kind of variations, over and over again. Besides that, when questions turn into demands, facts becoming myths or getting completely ignored, one could start wondering what the true intentions of _some people_ really are.

Distinctive pessimism, impatientness and the strong will to ignore or misuse the given facts (or worse...) are just some things i can think of that are responsible for such a behaviour, besides simple not being aware of or not understanding (for whatever reason) the available information about the conditions, the idea/ concept of LFS.

I still believe that this is just a minority and the rest is actually understanding and if not then at least trying to respect the decisions being made by the devs.

Edit: I guess that at this point, it's only fair to share some of my views (again) for this project which are infact _only_ resulting out the usage over the years and the information i've got from or about it. LFS has already shown in many ways that an innovative and unusual way of developing a game can be rather successful, even with such a small number of "employees" or without the need to promote it like all the big companies would do at some point, where the product seems to be ready for the big profit for instance. I'm not sure really what the plans are for the future, if they are still working and trying to expand these and LFS for this matter. But one thing is for sure, after all these years, it would be _stupid_ to not carry on and make use of this baby and its huge potential.
Undoubtably, the amounts of time and effort that are needed to do so will most likely explode at some point (not sure how far that one is away though :shy but i'd say that as long as they are enjoying this life style and way of development, any option will be considered and taken perhaps, if really necessary or inevitable though. Anyhow, I'm kind of jealous since this way, they don't have to worry much about too many things really. Competition? It's been there before LFS has even seen the day of light and eight to ten years for a game are impressive in this business, especially while considering the conditions, i guess.

Anyhow, if trying to be reaonable and making use of comon sense is making me a bootlicking fanboy then i can live with that.

Have a nice day.

Quote from The Very End :I am sorry, but I have to agree with that. Lisenced user from 08 comes telling people that have been here maybe 4 or even 5 years longer than him to stop asking questions / complain about the development is funny. We'll ask him the same question in 2013

It's about those who fail to understand the concept, regardless the facts that are available or how many times one tries to explain them, while at the same time having the nerve to complain about it. I wonder whats worse actually, those who are around for a considerably long time and still don't get it or those who just joined recently.

That's what i meant when saying: "Can it get any more pathetic than this?"

Or is it just me missing something here?
